Privacy Policy

Plain version: we collect the minimum we need to deliver the products you buy, operate the site, and send the emails you requested or reasonably expect after a purchase. We don't sell your data. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time, subject to records we must retain by law.

What we collect

• Email address — when you join the waitlist or buy the Product. We use it to deliver purchases, send requested courses and updates, help buyers use what they purchased, and invite buyers to leave an honest review.
• Stripe customer ID + purchase details — when you buy. Stored so we can match a returning customer to their account. We do not store your card number — Stripe handles that.
• Signed-book delivery details — if you order the limited signed hardcover, Stripe collects your name and Hong Kong postal address, plus an optional inscription of up to 120 characters. We use these details only to personalize and mail the book, correct delivery issues, and handle cancellations, damage, or loss. We do not ask for a phone number for this offer. The address and inscription remain in Stripe; we do not copy them to our application database, analytics, logs, or confirmation emails.
• Login email + password hash — for the toolkit web app. The password is hashed with scrypt; we cannot read your plaintext password.
• Anonymous usage analytics — page views and event counters via Umami (self-hosted) and Google Analytics on the marketing site. No personal data is sent.

Who we share with

• Stripe — to process payments and privately hold signed-book shipping and inscription details. (Stripe's privacy policy.)
• Hongkong Post or another postal provider — the recipient name and address appear on the parcel so the signed book can be delivered. Standard shipping is untracked, and we do not provide a phone number.
• Resend — to send transactional, waitlist, and buyer follow-up emails. (Resend's privacy policy.)
• WiserReview — to invite eligible digital-book buyers to leave product reviews and avoid reminding buyers who already reviewed. Signed-hardcover orders are not enrolled in this follow-up. For eligible buyers, we may provide the buyer's name, email, country or language, Stripe order ID, and the purchased book's public product details. (WiserReview's privacy policy.)
• Supabase — our database provider. Your data lives in their Postgres on AWS Tokyo (ap-northeast-1). (Supabase's privacy policy.)
• Railway — our hosting provider for the marketing site and the toolkit web app. They process page requests but don't store your data.

We do not sell your data, run ad-tracking, or share with third-party marketing networks.

How long we keep your data

• Email subscriptions and buyer follow-ups — until you unsubscribe. Use the unsubscribe link in any follow-up email or send an email to keith@rumjahn.com with subject "unsubscribe" and we'll remove you within 24 hours.
• Purchase records — kept for 7 years for tax compliance, as required by Hong Kong law.
• Signed-book address and inscription — accessed in Stripe only for personalization, dispatch, support, and legal recordkeeping, and kept no longer than needed for those purposes. You can ask us to remove information that is not required for transaction or tax records.
• Toolkit login data — until you ask us to close your account.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Show you all the data we have on you.
• Delete your account and all associated personal data (we'll keep purchase records as required by law, but anonymize them).
• Unsubscribe from any email at any time.
• Export your data in a portable format.

Cookies

Marketing site: Umami sets a small client-side identifier for unique-visitor counting (no third-party cookies, no cross-site tracking). Google Analytics sets standard GA cookies.

Toolkit web app: an authentication cookie after you log in (lasts 30 days), and a localStorage flag for whether you've dismissed the founding-member welcome banner. That's it.

Children

The Solopreneur Claude Stack is built for adult developers. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.
