đź’ˇ Adding internal links manually can be time-consuming and prone to mistakes.
đź’ˇ Internal links are crucial for SEO, helping search engines discover new content, distribute ranking power, and keep visitors engaged.
đź’ˇ Linksy, an AI-powered tool, can automate the internal linking process, saving time and improving SEO.
I spent 20 hours last month adding internal links to my website. That’s almost a full work week – gone. But then I found a better way.
Internal links are the secret sauce of SEO. They help Google understand your site structure and pass authority between pages. The problem? Adding them manually is painfully slow and prone to mistakes.
Here’s how you can automate your internal linking strategy and save dozens of hours each month using Linksy. I’ll show you exactly how it works, share real results, and help you avoid the common pitfalls I encountered.
The SEO Power of Internal Links
Your website is like a city. Without proper roads (internal links), visitors get lost and leave. Google’s crawlers face the same problem.
A study by Ahrefs found pages with more internal links rank higher in search results. Sites with strong internal linking saw up to 40% more organic traffic.
Here’s why internal links matter:
• They help search engines discover new content
• They distribute ranking power across your site
• They keep visitors engaged longer
I tested this on my own site. After improving internal linking, my average page views per session jumped from 1.8 to 3.2.
Understanding Bounce Rate Impact
Nobody likes a one-and-done visitor. High bounce rates tell Google your content isn’t engaging. Internal links fix this by creating natural reading paths through your site.
Quick facts about bounce rates:
• Sites with strong internal linking see bounce rates below 40%
• Each internal link adds 2-3 seconds to average time on page
• Mobile users click internal links 24% more often than desktop users
My own site’s bounce rate dropped from 67% to 38% after implementing Linksy. That’s thousands more engaged readers every month.
How Linksy works
After buying a license, it’s as simple as just installing the plugin and you’ll be greeted with this dashboard.
All I really care about are the orphaned pages. Every page should have some links.
Once I click on orphaned pages, I get to see all the inbound and outbound links for all my posts.
Once I click on a page, it loads up the page and using A.I. It will recommend the best content to link to that is related. The orange circle with a score indicates how close it is to the topic. If it’s green, it’s a great match. Orange is average and red is really not related.
There’s a quick apply button, I can set how many links I want to add to each article. I usually aim for 3. I can also manually choose the links I like. All I need to do is click quick apply and it adds 3 links to the page. I can do this for every page and it takes me 10 seconds each page.
I really like Linksy because it saves me so much time. However, I’m not sure what kind of impact it has. Internal links probably add another 1-4% more engagement but these things add up. If you have enough traffic, this might be worth a quick win for you.
